Six People, a Pink Vera Wang & One Hell of a Miami Wedding
Miami Beach Micro Wedding at The Betsy | Miami Wedding Photographer
Some weddings are big. Some weddings have a hundred people, a giant dance floor, and enough centerpieces to furnish a small apartment.
And then there are weddings like this one.
Six people. A rooftop at The Betsy in Miami Beach. A couple who traveled all the way from the UK to get married somewhere that felt like them.
It was tiny, but it never felt small.
The bride wore a vintage pink Vera Wang dress that was, frankly, fucking cool. The whole look felt playful and completely her own, right down to the little details. Nothing about the day felt like it was trying to fit into the traditional wedding mold.
They kept things intimate and simple, spending the day surrounded by just a handful of people who mattered most. There was something really sweet about watching a wedding unfold on that scale. No crowd to perform for. No endless timeline. Just the two of them, their people, and a beautiful little rooftop in the middle of Miami Beach.
That’s one of my favorite things about photographing micro weddings. When you strip away all the stuff you’re “supposed” to have, what’s left is pretty damn important.
The nervous moments. The ridiculous little laughs. The way someone looks at you when nobody else is paying attention. The dress moving in the wind. The people who traveled across an ocean to be there.
Those are the things I want to photograph.
This Miami Beach micro wedding at The Betsy was intimate, colorful, wildly stylish, and completely theirs. And honestly, six people was plenty.
Sometimes you don’t need a big wedding.
You just need the right people, a killer dress, and somewhere worth remembering.
