BEER, BARRELS + OnE HELL OF A WEDDING
Funky Buddha Brewery Wedding in Fort Lauderdale | Light Sky Photography
There are brewery weddings, and then there are weddings that feel like they were actually made for the brewery.
This one was the latter.
Funky Buddha in Fort Lauderdale was the perfect backdrop for a wedding that felt completely unlike a traditional wedding—and completely like them. The ceremony happened surrounded by rows of aging barrels, followed by cocktails, dinner, dancing, and a whole lot of people who clearly came ready to celebrate.
The space itself did half the decorating. Industrial warehouse vibes, giant walls of barrels, colorful artwork, warm light, and enough personality that nobody needed to cover it up with a bunch of wedding fluff.
And then there was the party.
Friends and family packed the room, the dance floor got increasingly chaotic, and somewhere between the cocktails and the music, this stopped feeling like a “wedding reception” and started feeling like one hell of a party that happened to involve two people getting married.
Which, honestly, is exactly how it should be.
This is why I love photographing weddings in places that aren’t traditionally considered wedding venues. Give me the brewery. Give me the weird little bar. Give me the warehouse, the restaurant, the backyard, the place with questionable lighting and a killer personality.
Your wedding doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s.
And this one definitely didn’t.
